I'm Writing Over on Substack

Hey friend,

I feel like it’s been forever since we caught up.

Life has been such a whirlwind lately—in the best way.

You know how I always seem to have my hands in a million things at once?

Well, this time, it’s all clicking into place.

Let me back up a little. You remember how things were for me a couple of years ago, right?

Leaving that toxic relationship, moving 250 miles with two little ones in tow, and starting over felt impossible at the time.

But looking back now, I realize how much that experience reshaped me.

I went from feeling trapped and overwhelmed to becoming the kind of person who can confidently create a life on her terms.

And wow, what a ride it’s been.

I used to berate myself for being so multi-passionate—always starting and stopping hobbies, projects, and ideas.

I thought it meant I was flaky or couldn’t stick with anything.

But I’ve learned to see it differently.

That ebb and flow?

It’s just life.

My passions come to life and go dormant in alignment with the seasons of nature, and I’m finally embracing it.

It’s winter now, so event photography at Brookledge Wedding Venue has slowed down, and I’ve shifted my focus to my brand, streamlining my business systems, developing new products, and finally launching the digital workbooks, planners, and courses that have been sitting on the back burner for far too long.

It feels so good to be bringing these ideas to life—and to know they’ll be tools that truly help other moms like me build businesses that work for their lives, not the other way around.

I recently started publishing a weekly newsletter over on my Substack

And there’s something else I’m so excited about—my new brand, Possibilities Over Promises.

It was inspired by a conversation I had with my daughter in the car one day.

She wanted me to promise we’d visit her dad, and as a single mom on a single income at the time, I couldn’t make that promise.

Instead, I told her, “It’s a possibility.”

That moment stuck with me.

Now, it’s become the foundation of an online store I’m launching soon.

The shop will feature sustainable, print-on-demand products, including designs created from my daughter’s artwork and others that reflect the value of focusing on possibilities over promises.

It feels amazing to see everything coming together.

Between running my design and content creation business, launching Possibilities Over Promises, and working on my own digital products, I feel like I’m finally channeling all those ideas and passions into something meaningful—and sustainable.

Thanks for letting me share all this with you.

It’s been such a journey, and I couldn’t have done it without the support of people like you cheering me on.

What about you?

What have you been working on or dreaming about lately?

I’d love to hear about it.

Talk soon,Sarah

I publish a weekly newsletter on Tuesdays, unless some proverbial mom-life sh*t hits the fan, in which case you can expect an email from me on Wednesday instead! Either way, I'll publish a new article weekly, in divine timing, as is everything, always, whether we like it or not.
